In this role, you'll guide a skilled team to build smooth, visually appealing interfaces that our users will love. Your Mission:

  • Collaborate closely with the Product and Backend teams to align with business objectives. Understand and translate business goals into actionable front-end development plans. Work with stakeholders to prioritize features that enhance user experience and drive business value.
  • Lead and manage a growing team of 3 front-end developers. Provide guidance and manage your team, creating a collaborative, growth-oriented environment where everyone can develop their skills and contribute effectively.
  • Identify and resolve challenges within the development team. Set standards for best practices, code quality, and architectural decisions, ensuring that projects are both scalable and maintainable.
  • Oversee and support the research and estimation of front-end tasks. Coordinate the assessment of task feasibility, development time, and resource needs, balancing project timelines with quality requirements.
  • Establish and communicate development guidelines to the team. Ensure consistency in code style, frameworks, and tools by delivering clear, actionable guidelines that align with best practices and project goals.
  • Evaluate team deliverables for code quality, accuracy, and project timelines. Review code submissions, track project progress, and provide feedback to help developers meet quality and efficiency standards.
  • Set and monitor team goals, guiding individual progress toward project objectives. Define clear, measurable goals for each team member, build accountability, and track progress to ensure milestones are achieved.
  • Identify and suggest process and technical improvements. Actively seek opportunities to refine workflows, introduce new tools, and optimize team efficiency to keep the team agile and forward-looking.
  • Support recruitment efforts for future IT talent needs. Participate in recruiting initiatives, helping to identify top candidates who will contribute to the team’s growth and success.

Your Skills:

Must have

  • Fluent in English and French (spoken and written)
  • 5+ years experience with Node.js and React.js (SSR)
  • 2+ years experience with Next.js
  • 2+ years as a team manager or equivalent
  • Experience with code quality and test (Jest)
  • Experience with integrating APIs (REST)
  • Comfortable with SCRUM practices and principles
  • Implement modern and responsive UI
  • Interaction with other teams (backend, product, and QA team)
  • Git flow
  • Be autonomous, proactive and have a strong proposal
  • Team collaboration and management
  • Passionate about development
  • Business focus and product Mindset
  • A thrive to continuous improvement
  • Effective communication

Nice to have

  • Proficiency with styled-component
  • Comfortable with the docker environment
