Product Owner – Web & Operations
Lead web and operational products end-to-end. Shape scalable workflows, connect business and tech, and drive meaningful impact across finance, logistics... and customer experience.
Location: Geneva (Hybrid, on-site presence expected) | Experience: 5+ Years | Language: English (C1+)
Mission
As our Product Owner for Web & Back-Office, you are the driving force behind the digital systems that power our daily operations. You won’t just manage a list of tasks; you will be the essential bridge between complex business needs, spanning Logistics, Finance, and Compliance, and high-impact technical solutions.
Your goal is to transform intricate operational challenges into seamless, scalable workflows that empower our internal teams and enhance the customer journey.
You will operate under the direct responsibility of the Product Manager and the Chief Product Officer (CPO).
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Strategy & Discovery
Product Team Synergy: Work closely with the Product team to ensure the squad’s efforts contribute to the broader product vision.
Strategic Prioritization: While the business defines the priority of needs, you are responsible for triangulating value. You don't just "order" tickets; you weigh business urgency against technical feasibility, squad capacity, and strategic alignment.
Problem Discovery: Partner with Product Manager to uncover friction points across the entire journey: from Front-Office user pain points to Back-Office operational bottlenecks.
User-Centric Design: Partner with the UX/UI team to bridge the gap between customer delight and operational efficiency. You will ensure that our Front-Office interfaces provide a seamless experience for users, while our Back-Office tools are built with the same level of intuition and usability to empower our internal teams.
Backlog Leadership: Own the Web perimeter (Frontend & Backend) from initial concept to final release.
2. Precision Execution (Delivery)
Agile Craftsmanship: Lead Sprint Planning, Refinements, and Retrospectives etc.
Be familiar with Agile (Scrum, Kanban, and ShapeUp etc), to be able to choose the right tool for the job.Actionable Specs: Write "ready-to-dev" User Stories with airtight acceptance criteria.
The "Shield": Protect the squad from "scope creep" while remaining agile enough to pivot when business data demands it.
3. Operational Partnership
The Translator: Act as the primary liaison for Finance, Logistics, and CS etc. You translate "we need a report" into "scalable solutions and intuitive dashboards."
Change Management: Ensure that when we ship a feature, the business knows how to use it. You own the "Success" of the release, not just the "Deploy."
4. Quality & Growth (Added Value)
Data-Driven Insights: Monitor key success metrics (KPIs) for the feature you ship.
Continuous Improvement: Work with QA and Tech Leads to reduce technical debt and improve the SDLC.
Who You Are
The Experienced Pilot: You have 5+ years in Product Ownership. You’ve seen projects fail and succeed, and you know how to navigate the middle.
The E-commerce Edge (Real ++): While not our only focus, experience in the E-commerce sector is a significant advantage. Understanding the lifecycle from checkout to fulfillment helps you anticipate complex business impacts.
The Complexity Tamer: You love back-office and operational logic. You find beauty in a perfectly mapped operational flow.
The Diplomat: You can say "No" to a stakeholder in a way that makes them feel heard but keeps the team focused.
Bilingual (Bonus): French is a plus, but your English is sharp, professional, and persuasive.
Your Toolbox
Methodology: Scrum, Kanban, ShapeUp, Lean
Product Tools: Jira (Advanced Roadmaps), Omniplan, Miro, Figma, FigJam, Hotjar
Documentation: Confluence, BPMN, Draw.io
Data & Analytics: Google Analytics 4, Mixpanel, or SQL (basic)
Technical Understanding: REST APIs, Postman, SDLC, Git, Sentry; Headless CMS (Sanity)

Hey there! 👋 We’re GOLD AVENUE, and we’re here to shake up the world of precious metal investment. If you think gold is just an old and dusty metal, well, our goal is to prove you wrong.
Do most precious metals online resellers you know have a 1990’s looking website, a long list of hard-to-understand products, somewhat cheap and obscure prices, and no solution to store or resell your gold? Well, we have the opposite:
- A UX-friendly website: making it as simple as buying socks (are socks easy to buy?)
- a brand new mobile app: putting gold investment at your fingertips
- Clean and crisp design: we like it easy on the eye
- Transparent and simple pricing: because we hate complexity, don’t you?
- The best all-in-one solution on the market: or should we say… in Europe?
- A multilingual and expert customer service: did we say we like to make things simple?
- Enjoyable educational content: helping you understand what makes gold tick
That’s because we’re on a mission to do things different, and make gold investment accessible to everyone.
Why you’ll love working with us:

- 😎 To enjoy a flexible work life: Need to work from home sometimes? No problem. We value balance and understand life’s demands.
Why we love working here ❤️
We might be 7 years old but we keep the positive startup mentality that's been with us from the start. Our company culture mixes a keep pushing attitude with a focus on our team's well-being in this fast-paced and often remote world.
In other words, we care about being flexible, caring, and human with our team, and we welcome anyone who brings a unique perspective, some cool ideas and skills, and most importantly a sense of ownership and hard work to accomplish great things together!
Want more perks? Well, we’ve got more! Office in Geneva’s old town with a shaded courtyard for summer lunches, showers for those who like a run around the lake, ping-pong table to show your skills, free snacks, coffee, tea, fruits, in the kitchen, etc. And because it’s not only about work, we also like to organize a yearly summer company retreat to enjoy a few days all together in a nice location, and of course company parties and afterworks throughout the year.
Who we are? We’re a diverse crew with a shared passion for making precious metals accessible to everyone. We’re proud to be leaders in the market, but we’re even prouder of our awesome team. If you’re looking for a place where your ideas matter and your work makes a difference, GOLD AVENUE is the spot for you.
Join us in shaping the future of precious metal investments. Let’s create something great together!
